OF MEETING OF BOARD OF DETERMINATION Notice Is Hereby Given to you as a person owning lands liable for an
assessment or a public corporation subject to assessment, that the Board of
Determination will meet on Wednesday,
December 15, 2004, at 9:00 AM at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Campus
Field House, 4901 Evergreen Road, Field House Building #233, Dearborn, Michigan, to hear all interested persons and evidence and to
determine whether the drain known as the North
Branch of the Ecorse Creek Drain, as prayed for in the Petition for the Maintenance and
Improvement of the North Branch of the Ecorse Creek Drain pursuant to Act 40
of the Public Acts of 1956, as amended, dated August 10, 2004, is
necessary and conducive to the public health, convenience or welfare, and
whether said drain is necessary for the protection of the public health of
the following cities: Allen Park, Dearborn Heights, Ecorse, Inkster, Lincoln
Park, Melvindale, Romulus, Taylor, Wayne and Westland. And, further, to
determine whether it is necessary to add lands to the Drainage District
pursuant to Section 197 of Act No. 40, P.A. 1956, as amended. Due
to the large number of landowners in the Drainage District, a powerpoint
presentation will be made to the Board of Determination which outlines a
brief history of the Drainage District, and describes the roles,
responsibilities and decisions made by a Board of Determination. The presentation is to provide background
for landowners and municipalities in the Drainage District. In order to facilitate the dissemination
of information and the receipt of testimony, the presentation will be shown
at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. on December 15, 2004, at the location
listed above. Testimony will be
received following each presentation and decisions will not be made by the
Board of Determination until after the presentation at 4:00 p.m. and testimony
received thereafter. The
powerpoint presentation is available online at www.nbecorsecreek.com, for review
prior to the meeting of the Board of Determination. Proceedings
conducted at this public hearing will be subject to the provision of the
Michigan Open Meetings Act and you are further notified that information
regarding this meeting may be obtained from the County Drain
Commissioner. Persons with

Are Further Notified, that persons aggrieved
by the decisions of the Board of Determination may seek judicial review in
the Circuit Court for the County of Wayne within ten (10) days of the
